Lwande Lithu Project Report
The Lwande Lithu Project has empowered over 500 women across Rumphi District through land ownership, business ventures, education, and leadership. Communities have reported cultural transformation, with bylaws drafted to institutionalise gender equality. Women’s forums now provide mentorship and advocacy platforms. Comprehensive study report on street children in Mzuzu
We conducted a comprehensive study on street children in Mzuzu City. Our research highlights the lives and challenges met by street children and calls to action for their protection. Over the years, we have worked with different partners to better the lives of street children and we continue to seek new partnerships to safeguard vulnerable children and give them a childhood that they deserve. Gender Sensitive Solutions in Security and Humanitarian Response - Mphompha by-laws
We have made great progress in our Gender Sensitive Solutions in Security and Humanitarian Response Project. Recently, the Mphompha ADC where we are implementing the project, developed a set of by-laws with assistance from the project team to guide how different issues will be addressed and resolved within the community. The by-laws are divided into three sections: General cases, cases concerning children and cases concerning women. They cover such things as inheritance, defilement, family planning decision making and many more. Mphompha is Live Radio Programme
We are excited to bring to you the "Mphompha is Live" radio program under the Gender Sensitive Solutions in Security and Humanitarian Response Project. The program will feature a number of panel discussions, debates, chats with traditional leaders and Mphompha community members, Phone-in programs and so many more. This is aimed at reaching communities and their leaders and engaging them on UNSCR 1325 and humanitarian response. The programs will air every Monday at 15:00pm and repeat every Friday at 17:00pm on Rumphi Community Radio. The program is made possible with auspices from WPHF & Spotlight with process support from UN-WOMEN Malawi.
