We are excited to bring to you the "Mphompha is Live" radio program under the Gender Sensitive Solutions in Security and Humanitarian Response Project. The program will feature a number of panel discussions, debates, chats with traditional leaders and Mphompha community members, Phone-in programs and so many more. This is aimed at reaching communities and their leaders and engaging them on UNSCR 1325 and humanitarian response. The programs will air every Monday at 15:00pm and repeat every Friday at 17:00pm on Rumphi Community Radio.
The program is made possible with auspices from WPHF & Spotlight with process support from UN-WOMEN Malawi.
We have made great progress in our Gender Sensitive Solutions in Security and Humanitarian Response Project. Recently, the Mphompha ADC where we are implementing the project, developed a set of by-laws with assistance from the project team to guide how different issues will be addressed and resolved within the community. The by-laws are divided into three sections: General cases, cases concerning children and cases concerning women. They cover such things as inheritance, defilement, family planning decision making and many more. You can learn more and access the document here
